What we Believe
The Bible
The Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant Word, preserved for all generations. It reveals God, calling us to know, love, and glorify Him. Scripture is trustworthy, authoritative, and enduring, guiding both our faith and practice.
Man
We believe God made man in His image—male and female—to honour Him and enjoy Him forever. We were created to display God's character, care for His creation, and walk with Him. But man rebelled and through Adam’s disobedience, sin and death entered into the heart of man the world, and the hearts or man, leaving us lost and without hope.
Salvation
We believe that God, being rich in mercy, has acted to save sinners through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus. Salvation is not something we can earn by what we do; it is a free gift from God, made possible through Jesus’ death on the cross.
Regeneration
We believe that believers are born again, made new by the power of God. In this supernatural act, God takes away our hard hearts and gives a soft heart towards Him and His people.
Justification
We are justified before God by faith in Jesus. Our sins were credited to Christ, and His righteousness to us. God sees Jesus' perfection, not our sins. This is a one-time legal declaration, not a process. We stand accepted through Jesus' finished work.
Sanctification
We believe sanctification is the ongoing work of God in the heart of a believer, shaping us into Jesus’ likeness. By the Holy Spirit, we grow in holiness, overcome sin, and bear righteous fruit. Though imperfect now, we continually grow in Christ until we go to be with Him or He returns.
God the Father
We believe in God the Father, who created all life and gives all gifts. He is wise, just, and loving. He controls everything with power and care, planning all for His glory. He has no beginning or end. accepts believers as His children, and watches over them, always ready to save.
God the Son
We believe the Son, is fully God and fully man. At the right time, He was born to the virgin Mary, conceived by the Holy Spirit. Jesus lived without sin, fulfilled all God’s laws, and offered Himself once for all as a sacrifice for sin. He took God’s punishment on the cross, rose from the dead, and ascended to the Father’s right hand. He is the only mediator between God and people, the head of the church, and the coming King who will judge all mankind.
God the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Lord and source of life, coming from the Father and the Son. He is fully God, active in creation, salvation, and making us holy. The Spirit shows us our sin, renews our hearts, connects us to Jesus, and lives in us as a guarantee of our future with God. He strengthens the church, helps us understand the Bible, gives spiritual gifts, and grows Christlike character in all believers.
The Trinity
We believe in the one living and true God: eternal, infinite, holy, and unchanging who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Church
We believe in the church, both universal and local. The universal church includes all true believers everywhere and throughout time—those born again and united with Christ. It is invisible to people but fully known by God. The local church is the visible group of believers who come together for worship, learning, fellowship, and mission. While local churches differ in size and culture, they share the same gospel and purpose.
Ordinances & Gifts
The Church observes two ordinances set by Christ: baptism, an outward display of the work of God in the heart of a believer; and the Lord’s Supper, which reminds us of His death, resurrection, and that He is coming soon.
Spiritual Gifts
The Spirit gives spiritual gifts to each believer to help build the church. These gifts should be used with love, humility, and faithfulness.
Eternity
The redeemed will dwell with God in the new heavens and new earth where sin, sorrow, and death are no more. Our eternal hope is not merely escape, but communion with God forever, beholding His glory and enjoying Him without end.
