What is Water Baptism?
Water baptism is an outward display of what has happened in the heart and life of a believer. Whenever someone comes to Christ and receives the gift of salvation by grace, their life is transformed, their sins are forgiven and they receive eternal life.
They are “born again” in the Spirit and their hearts and lives are restored and made alive to God. Jesus becomes Lord of their lives. This inward transformation is expressed as a testimony to the world through water baptism.
Baptism does not save, but is an opportunity for a believer to testify of what God has done in their heart.
We encourage you to read Romans 8:2-4 which describes this transformation.
